Façade cladding of 70 homes Zaans Goed, Zaandam
The Zaans Goed location lies between the apartments of De Zaanse Strip and the waterway at the Vurehout. The homes have 2 storeys and a roof, and were designed with a typical Zaan façade character. The plan contains 70 homes divided over 10 blocks. The long and end façades of the upper floors have eternite sidings. Some end façades are finished with an ornamental façade. Different colours of siding are used in the plan. This creates a special neighbourhood with a nod to the Zaan past. 42 homes have a garden on the water. The playful character of the plan also comes from bridging the height difference between the waterway and ground level between De Zaanse Strip en Zaans Goed.
The 50 family homes have an area of about 100 square metres, 3 bedrooms on the first floor and a spacious attic. The 20 starter homes of about 60 square metres have a spacious garden with storage room, entrance, bedroom and bathroom with toilet on the ground floor. In the starter homes the living room is on the first floor and is connected to the spacious attic by an open staircase.
