We walk the complex with you, including the places where the wood feels soft. No quote from the drawing board.
2. A quote for your meeting
You get a clear quote that states what we do, where and at what price. You can put it to your board or the general meeting.
3. A schedule you can share
Residents know in advance when the scaffolding goes up and when it comes down. You do not have to chase anything.
4. Execution and completion
One point of contact from start to completion. We walk through the work with you, and only then is it finished.

Does your VvE have a maintenance plan (MJOP) or a specification? Send it along and we will work with it. Do you not have one yet? Just ask: we can also draw up a multi-year maintenance plan (MJOP) for you. We start with a survey and look with you at what has to be done now and what can wait.

Frequently asked questions
Can WAM do the painting and the wood rot repair in one assignment?
Yes. Our painters and carpenters work in the same company. We repair the affected wood first and paint afterwards, within one schedule.
That saves you from needing scaffolding or a lift twice, once for the repair and once for the painting, and from coordinating two parties.
How do you recognise wood rot before it gets expensive?
Look for discolouration, wood that feels softer than normal and small cracks that keep growing. A musty smell can also point to wood rot. Press an awl or screwdriver into the wood to feel whether it is still firm.
Pay particular attention to places where moisture stays, such as the undersides of window frames and corners. More tips are in our article on recognising, preventing and treating wood rot.
What does painting cost for a VvE?
That depends on the number of window frames and the size of the façade, the condition of the wood, the height of the complex, whether it is interior or exterior work and the number of coats. That is why we do not name a figure without a survey.

How often does a VvE need exterior painting?
Well-applied paintwork stays attractive for at least 5 to 7 years. For wooden exterior window frames we assume about five years, for interior frames seven. That depends on location, weather and the condition of the wood.

How do you keep disruption for residents to a minimum?
You get one point of contact, a schedule you can share with residents and early consultation. At 76 homes in Utrecht that consultation went so smoothly that the team finished ahead of schedule.
Do we need a specification or maintenance plan to get started?
No. If your VvE has an MJOP or specification, send it along and we will work with it. If not, we start with a survey and discuss with you what is needed now and what can wait.
Do you also work for VvEs outside Amsterdam?
